momDDma Soft'NClre Product Description PRODUCT NAME: OS/8 TSAR Version 1 SPD 5.5.1 DESCRIPTION: TSAR is a modular FORTRAN IV program for performing Time Series Analysis and Reduction of laboratory data. It operates under the OS/8 Operating System. It is designed to acquire, manipulate, display, plot and report experimental data in a form that is easy to use yet provides all the capability needed to solve many scientific and engineering problems. TSAR can perform many of the operations normally used for data reduction, and has several features which provide sophisticated Fourier Analysis techniques. The modular design of TSAR and the fact that it is written in FORTRAN make it easy for the user to add special purpose functions useful to a specific application. TSAR can operate in three modes: interactive, incremental c9mpile, and compile. In the interactive mode, each command is interpreted and executed as it is entered from the console terminal. In the incremental compile mode, each command is interpreted and stored in memory as it is entered and execution of the procedure begins after all commands are entered (up to 25), under operator control. TSAR consists of two separate FORTRAN routines; TSAR itself which does the actual laboratory analysis and TSARINA which creates, updates and maintains the file of procedure for TSAR. In the compile mode, a procedure is prepared off-line via TSARINA and then may be executed by a single command to TSAR. Each procedure can contain up to 25 commands, however, it may chain to another procedure. MINIMUM HARDWARE REQUIRED: Any OS/8 LAB-8/E or PDP-12 configuration with 16K words of memory.
