Dear Customer,
Congratulations on the purchase of your new DIGITAL Personal Workstation upgrade.
Follow the detailed instructions in the documentation which came with your system
(EK-ALMIA-UI) to perform the following steps.
1. Backup all user applications and data; turn off and unplug your system.
2. Remove the keyboard, mouse, monitor, and any other external cables.
3. Remove all PCI options from your present system enclosure and reinstall them in
the new one.
4. Remove all disk drives from your present system enclosure and reinstall them in the
new one.
5. Install the keyboard, mouse, monitor, and any other external cables on the new
system.
6. Power on the system and install Windows NT on the new system (look in the
EK-ALMIA-UI index under Windows NT for instructions). Be sure to use
Windows NT version 4.0 which was provided with the upgrade.
7. Return the chassis, CPU/riser cards, 32MB SIMM memory, CD-ROM, floppy drive,
and power supply to DIGITAL. Note: These items must be in functional working
order to receive credit.
Note: You may wish to obtain and install DIGITAL FX!32 to facilitate use of x86
applications.
