This document is a Technical Documentation Change Notice (EK-OLN03-RM-CN1) for the LN03 Programmer Reference Manual (EK-OLN03-RM-002). These changes apply to printers with Version 4.4 (or higher) firmware.
The notice outlines several updates and corrections across different pages of the manual:
- Page 17 (Pin 20 Description): Clarifies that pin 20, previously reserved, is now asserted high when the LN03 is ready to send or receive data.
- Pages 22 & 70 (Autowrap Mode): Adds a note explaining that if autowrap is not enabled and text exceeds the right margin, an unsolicited error report (code 115, "Character lost, right margin exceeded") is sent to the host (if unsolicited reports are enabled), but not displayed on the printer's indicator panel.
- Page 63 (Font Status Report): Adds a note advising users to refer to Appendix D to interpret the 31-character font file ID for type family, font, and character set.
- Pages 76, 103, & 105 (Measurement Unit Conversion - Decipoints to Pixels): Corrects how decipoints are converted to pixels for Select Size Unit (SSU), Horizontal Position Relative (HPR), and Vertical Position Relative (VPR). Previously, 1 decipoint converted to 0 pixels; it now converts to 1 pixel, meaning active position will move by 1 pixel for a 1 decipoint value.
- Page 102 (Active Column and Line): Adds a note detailing that if underline, strike through, or italic fallback attributes are in effect, they are imaged according to the movement commanded by horizontal positioning sequences (HPA, HPR, HPB).
- Page 114 (Error Codes): Adds a new error code, Pn 115, described as "Character lost, right margin exceeded."
