The enclosed License PAK (Product Authorization Key) is an IMPORTANT document.

It represents your license from Digital to use a software product, AND, it is a tool to
help you track software licenses.

Please review carefully the terms on the back of the PAK.

The License PAK is a valuable proof of purchase for your software license. After registering
the information found on it, you should store the License PAK in a safe place for record
keeping and license upgrade purposes.

License PAKs are used in conjunction with the License Management Facility (LMF), a
new capability introduced with VMS V5.0 and ULTRIX V4.0 to help system managers

track and manage software licenses. The License PAK contains data you will need to
register with the LMF. Instructions for registering License PAK data for VMS and ULTRIX
products are detailed in the following places:

Operating Systems with no LMF:

Where this License PAK has been provided for a product which will be used on an
operating system for which there is currently no LMF available, please keep the PAK
in a safe place, for possible future use.

LICENSE LETTERS OR LICENSE CERTIFICATES:

The enclosed License Letter or License Certificate represents Software that is not LMF
compliant therefore does not require a License PAK. Please refer to the message on the
front of the Certificate or Letter for further information.
