PRODUCT NAME: VAX-11 COBOL-74, Version 4.2

DESCRIPTION:

OPTIONAL SOFTWARE:

COBOL is a precise, well-defined language for business data processing. VAX-11 COBOL-74 is based on
the specifications published by the American National
Standards Institute (ANSI) in the document "American
National Standard COBOL," X3.23-1974. VAX-11
COBOL-74 operates under control of the VAX/VMS
operating system to take advantage of the packed
decimal (COMP-3) and character string instruction set
and the virtual memory system.

VAX-11 COBOL-74 is properly defined as an implementation of ANS COBOL and meets the ANS-74 lowlevel specifications with the following additions (+) and
omissions (-):
+ Full Level 2 Nucleus Module
+ Full Level 2 Table Handling Module

+ Full Level 2 Sequential I/O Module

SOFTWARE INSTALLATION:
DIGITAL INSTALLED

installed software products, except for operating systems, are subject to an add-on installation fee when
purchased subsequent to system installation.

MINIMUM HARDWARE REQUIRED:
Any valid VAX/VMS operating system configuration.

PREREQUISITE SOFTWARE:
VAX/VMS Operating System, Version 2.0

All binary licensed software, including any subsequent
updates, is furnished under the licensing provisions of
DIGITAL's Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale,
which provide in part that the software and any part
thereof may be used on only the single CPU on which
the software is first installed, and may be copied, in
whole or in part (with the proper inclusion of the
DIGITAL copyright notice and any DIGITAL proprietary notices on the software) only for use on such CPU .
All source licensed software is furnished only under
the terms and conditions of a separate Software Program Sources License Agreement between Purchaser
and DIGITAL.
Options with no support services are only available
after the purchase of one supported license.
A single-use license only option is a license to copy the
software previously obtained under license.
The following key (Y, Z) represents the distribution
media forthe product and must be specified at the end
of the order number, e.g., QE101-AY = binaries on
RX01 Floppy Diskette.
