PRODUCT NAME:

PDP-11 COBOL-74NAX, Version 3

DESCRIPTION:
COBOL is a precise, well-defined language for business data processing. PDP-11 COBOL is based on
the specifications published by the American National
Standards Institute (ANSI) in the document "American
National Standard COBOL" , X3.23-1974. PDP-11
COBOl-74/VAX operates under control of the
VAX/VMS operating system.
PDP-11 COBOL is properly defined as. a subset of full
ANS COBOL and meets the ANS-74 low-level specifications with the following additions (+) and omissions
(-):

+ Full level 2 Nucleus Module
+ Full level 2 Table Handling Module

+ Full level 2 Sequential I/O Module
+ Full level 2 Relative 110 Module

+ Full level 2 Indexed I/O Module
+ Full level 2 Segmentation Module
+ Full level 1 library Module, with partial level 2
REPLACING facility

+ Full level 1 Interprogram Communication Module

+ Cross Reference Compilation listing
+ DISPLAY with NO ADVANCING
- RERUN option in 1I0-CONTROl paragraph not im.plemented
The PDP-11 COBOl-74/VAX product includes:
• COBOL compiler and run-time system
• COBRG report program generation utility
• RFRMT source program reformat utility
• CBlMRG COBOL ODl merge utility
MINIMUM HARDWARE REQUIRED:
Any valid VAX/VMS operating system configuration
that includes an lP11 line printer.
OPTIONAL HARDWARE:
None

SUPPORT CATEGORY:
A - Software Support will be provided as listed in
the Software Support Categories Addendum to this
SPD.
UPDATE POLICY:
Software Updates, if any, released by DIGITAL during
the one (1) year period following installation, will be
provided to the customer for a media charge. After
the first year, updates, if any, will be made available
according to then prevailing DIGITAL policies.
ORDERING INFORMATION:
This software is furnished under a license for use on
a single CPU and can be copied and modified (with
inclusion of DIGITAL's copyright notice) only for use
on such CPU, except as may otherwise be provided
in writing by DIGITAl.
Standard options with no support services are only
available after the purchase of one supported license.
When a software license is ordered without support
services, the category of support applicable to such
software is Category C.
The product is available only on the floppy diskette
medium.

QE101-DZ Single-use license only.
