momoomo Software Product Description PRODUCT NAME: CORE-CSB, Version 1 DESCRIPTION: The Core Communications System Base (CORECSB) is a COMTEX Based general purpose communications executive intended for use in message switches, data concentrator, terminal controllers, data entry systems, and other communications applications for the PDP-11. CORE-CSB is a memoryonly system that provides communications handlers for user-written applications software. It is provided in source-level form so that the user-written application software can be developed off-line in assembly language using the PTS-11 or CAPS-11 system PALS-11 S assembler and LlNK-11 S linker or the DOS/ BATCH system MACRO-11 assembler and LlNK-11 utility. CORE-CSa Components: System Control and Interface Program (SCIP) COMTEX executive for control of all COMTEX ISR's and TAP's (described below) and for interface to the (user-supplied) User Applications Program (UAP). Interrupt Service Routines (ISR's) - provide standard software interface to DIGITAL communications line interfaces, including DC11, DL 11, DM11, DJ11, DH11, DP11, DU11. Note: DIGITAL does not supply TAP's as part of this package which support DC11, DM11, DH11, DP11, or DU11 ISR's. These ISR's are provided for convenience only. The DC11, DM11, and DH11 ISR's are supported by optional TAP's listed under "Optional Software". Console Terminal Application Package (TAP) - provides simple message oriented interface to UAP for control of multiple terminals connected locally - or over leased lines using the DL11 and DJ11 ISR's where no programmable modem control is required. • DN11 ISR/TAP for interfacing to one or more Bell 801 A or C Automatic Calling units using the DN11 ACU interface. • CR11 ISR/TAP for support of a single CR11 card reader. • LP11 ISR/TAP for support of a single LP11 or LS11 line printer. The console TAP supports the following terminal/ modem configurations: • Serial Terminals: LA36, LT33 and LT35 Teletypewriters; VT50, LA30 at 110 or 150 baud; VT05 at 110, 150, or 300 baud. May 1977 SPD 10.10.2 Note: The LA30 at 300 baud and VT05 above 300 baud may be supported, provided the the User Application Program supplies delays, as required by the terminal at these speeds. • Serial Line Interfaces and Modems: 1. Local Connection: DL11-A,B,C,D; DJ11 2. Leased-Line Connection: DL11-D using DF11-B integral modem or 103F2 Bell private line modems; DJ11-AA using 103F2 Bell private line modems. • Parallel Terminals: LA30P with LC11-A Additional Features: Support of additional terminals is available with optional DIGITAL terminal support packages or with user-supplied TAP's (Terminal Application Program). MINIMUM HARDWARE REQUIRED: PDP-11 processor with at least 8K words of memory for program execution and 16K words for building the software KW11-L Line Clock LA30, LA36, VT05, LT33 or LT35 console TA 11 cassette or PC11 high-speed paper tape reader! punch OPTIONAL HARDWARE SUPPORTED: Additional memory to a system total of 28K words CR11 Card Reader DC11, DH11 (DM11), DJ11, DL 11 Asynchronous Line Interfaces DP11, DU11 Synchronous Line Interfaces DN11 Automatic Calling Unit Interface LA30, LA36 DECwriters, LT33, L T35 Teletypewriters LP11 Line Printers VT05, VT50 CRT Console Terminals PREREQUISITE SOFTWARE: One of the following is required: CAPS-11, Version 1 or later PTS-11, Version 1 or later DOS!BATCH, Version 8.2 or later OPTIONAL SOFTWARE SUPPORTED: ASCII Asynchronous Support Package IBM Asynchronous Support Package TRAINING CREDITS: None DEC·11·XPDAG·C·D SPD 10.10.2 CORE-eSB, Version 1 -2- SUPPORT CATEGORY: C - Software Support will be provided as listed in the Software Support Categories Addendum to this SPD.
