Processor. Drum processors or additional Arithmetic Processors requ ire an
additional Type 187 Interface for each core memory module connected to
them.

Controls transfer of data between core memory and up to four drum units.
Requires one memory bus Interface Type 187 for each PDP-6 memory module with which it communicates.

Each drum stores 1,048,576 36-bit words. The drum rotates at 1680 rpm
(35.7 msec per revolution) and provides a 36-bit word transfer every
4.2 tJsec. Requires Type 167-236 Drum Processor.

Each disc file stores a total of 5.76 million 36-bit words. Transfer
rates are 51.8 tJSec/word outer zone, 88.8 tJsec/word inner zone.
