This document describes Digital's Rackmountable PC Shelf Assembly, a slide-shelf solution specifically designed for the DECpc MT and MTE Series micro-tower desktop/deskside systems.

Key features and benefits include:

• Space Saving: Allows horizontal mounting of multiple DECpc MT/MTE PCs (up to 7 in some racks) into standard 19-inch ANSI/EIA racks, optimizing space, particularly for PC server configurations. It occupies 8.75 inches of vertical rack space.
• Compatibility: Supports various Intel-based DECpc MT and MTE models (e.g., 425dx, 433dx, 450d2, 466d2) and future iterations, without requiring any modifications to the actual PC system box. All functional and physical features of the DECpcs remain unchanged.
• Convenience & Serviceability: Features include lockout chassis slides and a concealed pull handle for easy in-cabinet service, front-to-rear airflow, and a field-installable design.
• Durability: The sturdy design allows for factory-installed DECpc MT/MTE units and integrated cabinet shipping.
