• Preparation: Including critical pre-upgrade console commands, recording system configurations (like Ethernet hardware address and SCSI IDs), and mandatory software and user disk backups.
• Component Transfer: Safely removing internal components (such as RZ2x disk drives, mass storage controllers, graphics/scanline coprocessors, and memory modules) from the VAXstation 3100 units and installing them into the VAXstation 4000 Model 60.
