DECserver 700 Hardware Installation Card

This document is a Hardware Installation Card for the DECserver 700 (including models 700-08 and 700-16), printed on January 20, 1992.

1. Checking the contents of the box for all included components (e.g., power cord, software license, rack-mount kit).
2. Verifying the installation site readiness (e.g., power socket, necessary cables).
3. Placing the server, either on a desktop (by attaching server feet) or in a rack (by installing nuts and brackets).
4. Connecting device cables to the server, with specific notes for the DECserver 700-08 regarding a V24/RS-232-C adapter if needed.
5. Connecting the Ethernet port for Standard, 10BaseT, or ThinWire Ethernet, detailing switch positions and connection methods (including the need for a Media Access Unit for ThinWire).
