MicroVAX 3100 Platform BA42-B Enclosure Maintenance

This document is a maintenance manual for the Digital Equipment Corporation MicroVAX 3100 Platform BA42-B enclosure, published in September 1992.

It is intended for Digital Services personnel and self-maintenance customers with experience in hardware component replacement. The manual provides comprehensive information across three main areas:

1. Enclosure Description: Details the physical aspects of the BA42-B enclosure, including its mass storage device areas, controls, indicators, ports, connectors, power and signal distribution, air circulation, and configuration guidelines for memory, communication options, and mass storage devices.
2. Installation: Covers site preparation (dimensions, operating environment, electrical requirements), unpacking the system, and step-by-step instructions for installing the BA42-B system, including connecting peripherals like console terminals and Ethernet components, and powering on the system.
