HP Secure Web Browser for OpenVMS Alpha (based on Mozilla) Plugins

This document outlines the plugins available for the HP Secure Web Browser for OpenVMS Alpha.

Key Points:

• HP-Supported Plugin: The browser officially supports the Java Plug-in on OpenVMS Alpha and I64, distributed with the HP Java Standard Edition, Development Kit (JDK). Specific JDK versions are required (1.3.1-1+ for Alpha, 1.4.2-3+ for I64).
• HP-Unsupported Plugins (available): Flash, Mozplugger, and XPDF plugins are available for OpenVMS Alpha but are not supported by HP.
  • Flash Plug-in: Provided by Mark Berryman, it's a port of an open-source flash player. It supports most of Flash 4 (but not Flash 5 ActionScript) and is working on sound support. Download and installation instructions are provided.
