VAX 10000 Pocket Service Guide

This document is the "VAX 10000 Pocket Service Guide" (Order Number EK–1000A–PG.001), published in February 1993 by Digital Equipment Corporation.

It is intended for Digital service engineers and provides easy-to-access key information for servicing VAX 10000 systems.

The guide covers the following main areas:

• Registers: Detailed listings and illustrations of major system registers (KA7AA, MS7AA, I/O Port, and DWLMA).
• Addressing: Information on the VAX 10000's block diagram, LSB address space, and XMI/VAXBI addresses.
• Console: An overview of console commands, syntax, environment variables, and device naming conventions, along with usage examples.
• Diagnostics: Examples and procedures for running diagnostic tests on system components, including DUP-based diagnostics and remote XMI adapter diagnostics.
