This document describes the "Memorandum Index Program," a utility designed for generating and maintaining the index of PDP-X Technical Memoranda. Authored by H. Burkhardt and dated August 21, 1967, the program runs on a PDP-6 computer, requiring 17K of core memory (and disk if more than one output copy is requested).
To operate, the program is loaded using the console command .RUN DEVICE INDEX. It prompts the user for the number of copies desired. Input is provided via a card-deck, and the output is produced on a line-printer.

The program includes basic error checking, such as flagging duplicate document numbers or attempting to revise/obsolete a document whose title card has not yet been processed.
