Scientific Subroutines Programmer's Reference Manual

This document is the "Scientific Subroutines Programmer's Reference Manual" (AA-1101D-T1), an updated version published in January 1982. It describes the Scientific Subroutines Package (SSP), a collection of over 100 mathematical and statistical subroutines.

The manual is intended for programmers familiar with FORTRAN IV or FORTRAN 77, particularly those in scientific or laboratory environments. It provides detailed information on various subroutines covering:

• Statistical Operations: Data screening, elementary statistics, correlation, regression, discriminant analysis, factor analysis, time series analysis, nonparametric statistics, and random number generation.
• Mathematical Operations: Special matrix operations, general matrix subroutines, integration, differentiation, Fourier analysis, special function operations (e.g., Bessel, Gamma, Legendre), linear and nonlinear equation solutions, and polynomial operations.

The SSP is designed for use on Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) systems running RT-11 (V4.0) and RSX-11M (V4.0) operating systems. The document also includes instructions for installing and verifying the SSP on these systems, along with an alphabetical index of all subroutines.
