TR07-F

Order Number: XX-A85F9-42

This document is an Engineering Change Order Log (DEC-O-LOG) from Digital Equipment Corporation, dated October 1973, concerning the TR07-F Phase Encoded Formatter Control for the PDP-11 processor.

The log entry, TR07F-B0001, details five problems and their corresponding corrections:

  1. Problem: Spacing not stopping at End Of File (EOF). Correction: Add a gate to stop FSPG and set FRDY when FEDF is set.
  2. Problem: Rewind flip-flop not always setting. Correction: Change set signal to FSFN H.
  3. Problem: Logic failing to read records with an odd number of bytes. Correction: Allow final RS to transfer the odd byte to memory.
  4. Problem: Discrepancy between Prints and Wire List. Correction: Update Wire List and print set accordingly.
  5. Problem: Missing address bits 16 and 17 from the bus. Correction: Add address bits 16 and 17 to the bus.

These changes are to be retrofitted immediately in-plant and to all existing TR07-F units in the field. The installation and testing for these changes are estimated to take 3.0 hours, using kit F1061, which includes FCO/Prints and parts.
