RT02-A

This document is an Engineering Change Order (ECO) Log, Revision O, for the Digital Equipment Corporation's RT02-A Remote Data Terminal, covering changes implemented between May and November 1973.

The log details six specific engineering changes, addressing various problems and their corresponding corrections:

1. RT02A-00001 (May-73): Added an I/O port and strain relief to the RT02 back plate by adding a TTY connector hole and generating new drawings for cable clamps.
2. RT02A-00002 (May-73): Corrected incorrect octal code designations in the Engineering Specification for RT02 acceptance.
3. RT02A-00003 (May-73): Wired an unused module slot for future use, requiring rework of existing logic panels in RT02 terminals from serial number 5500 onwards.
4. RT02A-00004 (Aug-73): Updated the Block Diagram drawing to reflect changes from ECO RT02A-00003.
5. RT02A-00005 (Nov-73): Modified the ground wire on the RT02-A to conform to UL standards by reworking bottom pans, drilling a new hole, and removing a specific ground wire.
6. RT02A-D0006 (Nov-73): Replaced the M7396 Keyboard Encoder due to intermittent issues with shifted characters (unshifted, "space", or incorrect output). This change included a maintenance manual update, specified a 0.5-hour installation/test time, and noted costs for documentation and parts, with field retrofits available upon customer request.

The changes primarily involve hardware modifications (I/O, grounding, keyboard), wiring updates for future functionality, and associated documentation corrections. Many changes required rework of in-plant units, and some, like the keyboard replacement, offered field retrofits.
