G8000

This document is an Engineering Change Order (ECO) from Digital Equipment Corporation, dated August 1973, concerning the G8000 Filter Network used in the PDP-11 Family of processors.

The identified problem (G8000-C0001) is that the voltage ratings for capacitors C1, C2, and C3 in the G8000 are too low. The prescribed correction is to increase their voltage rating from 15 to 20 volts.

For in-plant units, the change is a retrofit during testing and will be phased into production once parts are available. For units already in the field, all G8000s are to be reworked if symptoms are present. The estimated time for installation and testing is 0.5 hours, and the fix requires a specific kit (-F1029 -FCO/Prints and Parts).
