Pathworks Macintosh Planning and Installation Guide Jan91

• Planning: Determining which software components to install (e.g., AppleTalk for VMS, VAXshare File/Print Servers, AppleTalk/DECnet Gateway, VMS Mail Server, Data Access Language Server), outlining hardware and software prerequisites, disk space requirements, and necessary system parameter adjustments.
• Installation: Detailed steps for running the VMSINSTAL procedure, responding to installation questions, and understanding error messages.
• Post-Installation Tasks: Procedures for starting PATHWORKS software, running installation verification, and modifying system startup procedures.
• VAXcluster Configuration: Specific instructions for setting up PATHWORKS on additional servers within a VAXcluster system, including DCL table replacement and using the ATK$CONFIG procedure to configure primary ports, network ranges, and gateways.

Appendices provide a sample installation script, lists of installed files, and DECnet objects created by the software.
