Digital's Removable Storage Family provides secure, high-performance, and physically transportable data storage solutions for a wide range of Digital systems, including mainframes, minicomputers, MicroVAX, VAX, and DECsystems.

Key components include:

• SA705 Removable Storage Array: Designed for large VAX, DECsystems, and VAXcluster environments, offering capacities from 1.1 GB to 4.4 GB. It utilizes RA70-based disk drives housed in protective, transportable canisters.
• RF30 and RF71 Removable Storage Elements (RSEs): Used with MicroVAX systems in RSE expansion pedestals, providing 150 MB or 400 MB per RSE, with total capacities up to 2.4 GB.
