This document describes Digital's "Recover-all Service," designed for fast recovery of computer operations after catastrophic events.

Key points:

  • Purpose: Supplements existing Digital Field Service agreements to restore computer operations quickly if facilities or equipment are damaged by environmental or accidental occurrences, going beyond typical mechanical failures.
  • Coverage (Damage Types): Protects against floods, earthquakes, fires, power failures, sprinkler/AC malfunctions, vandalism, theft, and even accidental spills. It does not cover war, nuclear incidents, unauthorized repairs, fraud, business interruption, gradual deterioration, obsolescence, cosmetic damage, or programming errors.
  • Coverage (Equipment): Covers repair or replacement of damaged computer equipment, including both Digital and non-Digital equipment if it's part of your existing service agreement.
  • Key Benefits:
    • No Deductible or Depreciation: Unlike insurance, there's no deductible or depreciation expense applied to repairs or replacements.
    • Comprehensive Reimbursement: Covers expenses associated with getting operations back to full capacity, such as temporary data processing locations, equipment removal, and replacement of certain software (unmodified, licensed software that cannot be duplicated from backups).
    • Single Source: Digital provides a single point of contact for claims, simplifying the process and ensuring consistent support.
    • Fast Response: Claims are processed easily with just a phone call to Digital's service number, triggering a team of recovery experts.
    • Cost-Effective: Offers peace of mind and fast, quality repairs for a minimal monthly fee.
    • Flexible: New equipment can be added to the policy with a phone call.
