This document introduces Digital's OpenVMS Management Tools (OMT) Version 3.0 for Windows NT, a software suite designed to simplify the management of complex, heterogeneous OpenVMS environments from a central Windows NT system.

Targeted at workgroup and departmental environments (up to 100 systems), OMT provides centralized, graphical capabilities for performance management, security, storage, and system administration of OpenVMS servers.

Key benefits include:

• Streamlining system administration (e.g., user accounts, printer queues).
• Increasing productivity through a Windows-based graphical user interface.
• Enabling remote, real-time monitoring and control of OpenVMS system performance (using ViewPoint).
• Integrating OpenVMS and Windows NT security management (with AUDITOR Plus and Security CeNTre).
• Assisting with backup and archiving procedures for OpenVMS and Windows NT systems.

OMT V3.0 aims to help users optimize computer resources and increase operational efficiency within their OpenVMS/Windows NT computing environments. It is part of Digital's broader strategy for OpenVMS system management, which also includes enterprise solutions and future enabling technologies.
