The DEClaser 3200 and 3250 are Digital's new generation of networked desktop laser printers, offering fast and reliable printing at up to 13 pages per minute (11 images per minute for duplex) with a duty cycle of up to 35,000 pages per month. They feature 300x300 dpi resolution and support double-sided (duplex) and single-sided (simplex) printing on various media including cut-sheet paper, transparencies, envelopes, and labels.

Key features include:

• Protocols: Support Digital ANSI-compliant printing (DEC PPL3) and HP LaserJet IID (PCL Level 4) emulation. The DEClaser 3250 additionally supports Adobe PostScript®, with an upgrade kit available for the DEClaser 3200.
• Paper Handling: Two 250-sheet input trays, a 500-sheet output tray, and a separate manual feed. Optional large capacity input trays can expand total input to 2000 sheets.
• Connectivity: Equipped with DECconnect serial and PC-compatible parallel interfaces, with an optional Novell Ethernet interface for direct network connection.
• Compatibility: Work with a wide range of applications from PC, Macintosh, UNIX, VMS (e.g., DECwrite, DECpage), and PostScript environments.
• Memory: The 3200 has 1MB resident memory, while the 3250 has 7MB, both expandable with optional 2MB SIMMs.

Digital provides worldwide service and various software options like DECprint Printing Services for VMS for heterogeneous environments, and utility for PostScript to Sixel printing.
