Os/78 System

This document outlines the updates and improvements transitioning from OS/78 V2 to V3. Key changes include:

• Hardware Support: Added support for RX02 and RL01 devices.
• Command Enhancements: Introduced new commands (BOOT, FORMAT), enhanced the SET command for static handler replacement, and added new options (/S, /D) to the DUPLICATE command.
• Logical Device Names: Added support for various new logical device names, including RXAx, VXA0, SLU, VLU, and RLxx.
• Utility & Software Updates: Included improvements to the spooler symbiont for DECstation 78s, enhancements to the RESEQ.BA utility for BASIC, and modifications to the HELP utility to support VT100 terminals.
• Maintenance & Restrictions: All V2 bugs have been addressed in V3. The notes also provide specific configuration instructions for DECstation 88/70 systems and warnings regarding potential system "hangs" when invoking handlers for non-existent devices.
