The W108 Decoding Driver is a module designed for memory systems, such as core memories and magnetic tape systems, providing up to 300 mA of bipolar drive current. Each module contains eight drivers that can be selected via one of eight address lines or a built-in binary-to-octal decoding matrix. The drive current direction (positive, negative, or both) is determined by input select lines at pins BU and BV, and the magnitude of the current can be adjusted between 160 mA and 300 mA by varying an external negative voltage reference (ranging from -7.5V to -15V) applied to a tab terminal. The document includes detailed input/output specifications, a truth table for current direction, a formula for calculating current based on tab voltage, and power requirements.
