G823 -24V Regulator Control

This document describes the G823 module, a temperature-compensated voltage regulator control used in conjunction with the G825 pass element to provide regulated -24V power for the PDP-15 computer memory.

Key features include:

• Temperature Compensation: Utilizes a thermistor from the G613 module to adjust voltage based on temperature changes.
• Over-voltage Protection: Automatically disconnects output if the voltage exceeds -26V.
• Input/Output Specifications:
  • Input: Receives -30V from the 715 power supply.
  • Output: Provides a variable -18V to -28V (5.5A) output, with a typical setting of -24V. It also includes an open collector driver that signals "Memory Power OK" when the regulator is functioning correctly.
