Pdp 8to12

This document provides documentation for a utility program designed to make PDP-8 software compatible with the PDP-12 computer system. Because PDP-12 systems interpret the linefeed character (which typically follows a carriage return in PDP-8 software) as a command signal, standard PDP-8 software is often unusable on the PDP-12. The PDP8TO12 program resolves this by searching through PDP-8 source tapes and stripping or modifying the code to produce a new paper tape compatible with the PDP-12's DIAL operating system. The document includes basic operating instructions and the source code for the utility.
