Magspyd

Summary

MAGSPYD is a modification of the MAGSPY program designed for use with LINC tapes. It features extended addressing to view tapes of any length (defaulting to 1608 blocks) and includes support for viewing unpacked ASCII data generated by the DIAL-MS assembler’s LISTAPE instruction.

The program offers extensive user control via:

• Sense Switches: Configurable for display modes, including waveform, text size, ASCII/octal data, and display movement control.
• A/D Knobs: Used to control the number of lines displayed and the speed/direction of tape motion.
• Teletype Commands: Allows users to rewind, restart, return to DIAL, or display a help frame.

The documentation also provides technical instructions for adjusting the program to accommodate shorter tape lengths by modifying specific memory locations.
