Three Subroutines for Qanda

This document from the DECUS Program Library outlines three specific subroutines designed for use with QANDA under the DIAL-MS source language. The subroutines are as follows:

• FRACUS: A subroutine that extracts decimal integer or fraction inputs from QANDA answer fields and converts them into a floating-point format compatible with the Floating Point Package and FOCAL-12.
• SCRMBL: A subroutine that extracts either decimal or octal integer inputs from QANDA answer fields and converts them into the octal equivalent. It allows users to toggle between decimal and octal input modes.
• QANDA-C: A modification of the standard QANDA subroutine that allows users to decode "CONTROL" characters. It enables users to insert custom instructions to trigger specific subroutines when certain control keys are pressed.
