Proposed Rk05 Disk Cartridge Cleaning Procedure

This document contains a series of technical documents related to the DEC RK05 disk drive. The initial pages provide a detailed procedure for inspecting and cleaning RK05 disk cartridges, including required equipment, inspection criteria for defects (such as scratches, burned streaks, or fingerprints), and cleaning instructions using 91% Isopropyl alcohol.

The remainder of the document consists of various Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Field Change Orders (FCOs) dated between April 1973 and July 1973. These updates document technical modifications to the RK05 units, including:

• Adding rubber sleeves to the cartridge receiver to prevent the door opener from catching on the cartridge flap.
