Instruction Test 1

This document details the diagnostic program "Instruction Test 1" for the PDP-8I computer. The program is designed to test the AND, TAD, and Operate instructions. It requires a PDP-8I equipped with a Teletype and uses memory locations 0000–4421.

The document provides procedures for loading and starting the program, including specific control switch settings and the starting address (0144). It describes the testing sequence, which includes:

• Individual Operate functions (excluding rotates)
• The TAD instruction
