Guide to the User Account Manager

This document is the "Guide to the User Account Manager (UAM)" for Digital Equipment Corporation's ULTRIX Worksystem Software Version 4.2 and ULTRIX Version 4.2, published in May 1991.

2. Less-Experienced System Administrators: The guide explains how to invoke and navigate the UAM main window, detailing the various account information fields (e.g., Username, User ID, Personal Information, Login Shell, Login Group, Secondary Groups, Home Directory, Disk Quotas, Password). It also provides step-by-step procedures for all core account management tasks: listing, displaying, creating, removing, modifying, and renaming user accounts, as well as applying templates to streamline account setup.

The document also mentions that UAM manages local, YP, and BIND accounts and notes a specific bug in the Template List dialog box related to saving profile file changes.
