Document Services for Printing (DS/P) Version 2.0

• DS/P SETUP Services and DS/P UTILITY: Used by network administrators for installing and configuring DS/P software, integrating it with NetWare, enabling DS/P for specific printers, setting SMS accounting options (like cost per page/sheet), and naming/renaming printers.
• Remote User Interface (RUI): A menu-driven program that allows users (with supervisor privileges for changes) to remotely view and modify Digital printer settings such as font, format, paper source, and resolution, effectively mirroring the printer's control panel.
• Status & Management Services (SMS): Provides real-time printer and job status information, including alerts for conditions like paper jams or low toner, and job completion notifications. SMS enables users to find printers that best fit specific job requirements, manage print queues (hold, delete, release jobs), and perform drag-and-drop printing in Windows.
• SMS Accounting: Collects printer and job statistics, allowing for the generation of load balancing and user chargeback reports. Data can be exported for custom reporting, and the system can automatically issue NetWare CAPTURE commands.
• SMSPURGE Utility: A DOS utility for converting older DS/P accounting files and purging corrupted or outdated records.
