DIGITAL Server Cluster with BA356 Ultra Storage

This document is an installation guide for configuring Windows NT Clusters on DIGITAL Servers utilizing the BA356 Ultra Storage array. It details the hardware requirements and installation procedures for creating a high-availability client/server LAN solution, enabling two Windows NT systems to be coupled via a shared SCSI bus. Key steps include configuring the UltraSCSI BA356 Expansion Enclosures (both single and dual setups), setting up the shared SCSI bus interconnect, configuring the Differential UltraSCSI Personality Module (including DIP switch settings for SCSI termination and device IDs), and installing and configuring Adaptec 2944UW host adapters. Host adapter configuration involves setting unique SCSI IDs (6 or 7), deactivating on-board termination, and disabling power-on reset via the SCSISelect Utility.
