DIGITAL MultiSwitch Hub 612TX Quick Start

This document serves as a quick start guide for the installation and initial configuration of the DIGITAL MultiSwitch Hub 612TX module. It outlines the essential items required for setup, including the 612TX module, a DIGITAL MultiSwitch 600 Stack Station, Stack Director, or DEChub 900 MultiSwitch, a setup port device (PC or terminal), cables, and an optional 100 Mb/s Fast Ethernet Modular Media Interface (MM-100) card.

The guide is structured into five main parts:

1. Installing Optional Cards: Details the procedure for installing hot-swappable MM-100 cards into the module, emphasizing safety precautions like using an antistatic wrist strap to prevent static electricity damage.
2. Installing the Module into a Stack Director or Stack Station: Provides steps for physically securing the module into the chassis, connecting MM-100 and 100BaseTX cables, verifying Power OK and Module OK LEDs, and a brief mention of clearVISN software for network management.
