FCO CK-DEUNA-M001, Potential safety hazard/improper fuse insertion

This Field Change Order (FCO CK-DEUNA-M001) addresses a potential safety hazard caused by improper fuse insertion in the F1 position of the Ethernet Controller Interface Bulkhead Assembly (P/N 70-18799).

The FCO mandates a rework of all DEUNA Interface Bulkhead Assemblies that utilize fuses (excluding those with circuit breakers). The problem is identified by checking if Tab #1 of the fuse assembly has an 18AWG wire with shrink tubing. The solution involves replacing the existing wire with a new Fused Jumper Wire Assembly (Part Number 70-22783-02) from an EQ kit.

The rework procedure, estimated to take 0.9 hours per unit, involves removing the bulkhead assembly, desoldering the old fuse wire, installing the new fused jumper wire, reinstalling the bulkhead, and verifying the installation by ensuring the POWER LED illuminates. Approximately 9,000 units are affected.
