These modules contain an incompatible 21040-AB (21-40593-05) chip in location E4, which is not a proper replacement for the 21040-AA (21-40593-03) chip. Approximately 3,872 units worldwide are affected.

The solution involves replacing the faulty 54-24508-01 riser module with a new one obtained from the EQ-01753-01 KIT, which includes a Slim Riser Card. Technicians can use a downloadable program or FCO test utility diskette to identify systems with the problematic 21040-AB controller.
