KN7CD CPU INSTALLATION CARD

This document serves as a quick reference guide for installing KN7CD CPU modules in AlphaServer 8200/8400 systems. It outlines two primary procedures:

1. Installing additional KN7CD CPU modules (E2061) into an existing AlphaServer 8200/8400 system. This involves noting current system firmware and environment variables, powering down, physically installing the new module(s) into designated slots, updating console firmware (if necessary) using LFU, rebuilding EEPROM and NVRAM, and finally verifying the system and restoring environment variables.
2. Upgrading an AlphaServer system from KN7CC modules to KN7CD modules. This procedure requires removing all existing KN7CC CPU and memory modules, and the clock module. Users then install a new KN7CD clock module, specific terminator cards (for 8200), followed by the KN7CD CPU modules. Similar to the first procedure, it includes steps for firmware updates, system verification, and environment variable restoration.
