VT330+ Models G, H and J

This document is a service guide for Digital Equipment Corporation's VT330+ monochrome monitor models G, H, and J, primarily intended for Digital Customer Services Engineers.

3. Removing and Replacing FRUs (Field Replaceable Units): Offers step-by-step instructions for safely removing and replacing key components such as the rear panel, enclosure, terminal control module, CRT (including critical discharge and disposal procedures), power supply/monitor and video amplifier modules, power switch, AC inlet, control/bracket assembly, CRT/bezel/chassis assembly, keyboard, and optional mouse or tablet. Safety precautions, particularly for CRT handling, are emphasized.
4. Aligning the Video Terminal: Describes procedures for adjusting the video display to ensure optimal performance. This includes detailed instructions for setting brightness, contrast, display size, rotation, horizontal and vertical centering/width, character quality, linearity, and focus using various screen tests.
5. Using Set-Up: Explains the terminal's built-in Set-Up utility, covering how to access and navigate the set-up screens, manage dual sessions, select and configure features, and save or recall custom settings.
