LP27/LP29 Line Printer

This document serves as an installation manual for the LP27 and LP29 series of line printers, along with their power paper stackers. It is intended for both DIGITAL Field Service personnel and customers.

Detailed instructions are provided for installing country-specific components such as control panel decals, status code decals, and power plugs for various international regions (Danish, UK, Italian). The chapter culminates with a power-up procedure, which includes setting domestic or international voltage configurations, loading paper, adjusting forms, and performing initial self-tests. It also briefly covers paper puller operation and interconnecting the printers to VAX or DECsystem-10/20 systems.

Paper Stacker Installation (Chapter 3) focuses on the setup of the power paper stacker for the LP29 line printer. It describes how the stacker facilitates the rapid and neat stacking of fanfold paper, automatically adjusting its shelf height based on the paper stack. The chapter outlines the unpacking process for the paper stacker and its installation onto the LP29 printer, including connecting ground and power cables.
