VT103 LSI-11 Video Terminal

The VT103 LSI-11 Video Terminal, available in -AA and -BA models, is a compact terminal designed to be user-configurable into a complete LSI-11 microcomputer system. Both models include a 12-inch video display, a separate keyboard, an internal LSI-11 backplane, a terminal controller, a standard terminal port (STP) module, and a power supply. The VT103-BA specifically integrates two TU58 DECtape II cartridge transports for loading programs or storing data.

Users can expand the VT103's capabilities by installing various LSI-11 processor, memory, and interface modules available from Digital into its backplane, supporting CPUs like the LSI-11/2 and LSI-11/23, along with RAM, ROM, and different serial/parallel interface options for peripherals and instrumentation. The system is designed to run RT-11 and RSX-11S operating software.

The terminal features a setup mode, allowing configuration of display attributes, character sets, and communication parameters. The video display supports 24 lines at 80 characters or 14 lines (expandable to 24 with the Advanced Video option) at 132 characters, with various character attributes.
