Donald F. Arthur

Donald F. Arthur, 70, of Upton, was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and mentor. Known for his ability to make difficult tasks seem easy and his quiet problem-solving, he was a man of deeds. His diverse talents included napkin drawings, crafting wooden bowls, and providing conservative financial advice. His life journeys took him across various regions of the U.S., from California to Colorado and New England.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, with whom he shared countless adventures; three adult children, Diana Matukonis, Samuel Arthur, and Michael Arthur; a brother, Michael Arthur; a sister, Patricia Gordon; and two grandsons, Deven and Cedric Arthur. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and a cherished dog.

A Celebration of Life was scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2014, from 2 to 5 PM, with details available at dfamemorial@charter.net. Memorial donations may be made to Rails-to-Trails Conservancy or The Audubon Society. Arrangements were made by Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, Milford.
