Charles Robert "Bob" Moore, 80, a resident of Burlington and formerly Chelmsford, MA, passed away on July 8, 2017, surrounded by his family. Born in Kansas City, Kansas, he was a U.S. Marine veteran, a 1955 Wyandotte High School graduate, and earned a BA in Math from the University of Kansas in 1962. Bob dedicated his career to the burgeoning computer industry, retiring from Digital Equipment Corp in 1993, and was a founding member of the Digital Retirees Association (now DECconnection). He was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Jeanne, whom he married on Valentine's Day in 1957. In 2003, he married his square dance partner, Doris, who provided loving support. A man of unwavering faith, Bob was an active member of the Central Congregational Church in Chelmsford, serving on numerous committees and as a delegate to church meetings. He deeply valued family and friends, maintaining strong connections across generations through reunions, activities, and extensive travels. Bob was known for his infectious smile, love of fun, and ability to infuse humor into every situation, making even tedious tasks enjoyable. He is survived by his wife Doris; son Robert; daughters Pam, Patricia, and Paula; sister Peggy; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visiting hours and a memorial service are scheduled for August 11 and 12, 2017, in Chelmsford, with memorials directed to the Central Congregational Church.
