Barrie S. Hunter (1939-2022) was an accomplished, self-made man who began his career in the early computer industry and witnessed its evolution through to cell phones. He was known for his zest for life, which included world travel, sailing, golfing, and skiing in Australia and the US. His profound love for his family, including his wife, children, and grandchildren, was his top priority, and he was regarded as everyone's "go-to" person. He maintained a vast network of friends from his birthplace in Australia, to Europe, and his adopted home in the US. He is survived by his wife Anne, daughters Cathy Doyle and Susan Langone, sons-in-law Paul Doyle and Derek Langone, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and in Australia, his brother Bob and sister Pam and their families.
