OpenVMS™ VAX™ Consolidated Software Distribution—July 1994

This document announces changes within the July 1994 OpenVMS VAX consolidated software package. Key updates include a simplified DECADMIRE™ kit, which now combines all six components into a single installation. The CDMENU for OpenVMS VAX has been updated to Version 2.0, introducing features such as kit installation within product directories, POLYCENTER™ Software Installation Utility (PCSI) support, improved documentation access, multiple data file support, enhanced scrolling, better error messages, and improved online Help.

Several products have been removed from this month's distribution: BASEstar™ CIMfast, MAILbus™ 400 Application Program Interface for OpenVMS, MAILbus 400 Message Transfer Agent for OpenVMS, and DEC Availability Manager for Distributed Systems. Additionally, the DEC3GL Implementation Toolkit for VMS™ was retired and removed. Notes clarify that BASEstar CIMfast functionality is now part of BASEstar Classic, new versions of MAILbus 400 products will be included in the next consolidation, and DEC Availability Manager for Distributed Systems functionality is integrated into Version 6.1 of the operating system.
